been supplying
auditing and consulting services to credit unions
for over thirty years. We currently provide these
services to fourteen credit unions. We have committed
to having professionals with credit union industry
expertise and have allocated resources accordingly.
Our staff members complete the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants "Audits
of Credit Unions " continuing professional education
course. Also, we subscribe to the "NCUA Letter
to Credit Unions " as well as other state and
federal law publications. This facilitates our understanding
of the industry and enables us to help our
clients stay current on regulatory matters as well.
It is not enough to know credit union regulatory
and
accounting matters, however. We are also committed to knowing
current industry trends that
are important to management, supervisory committee,
and board members. Therefore, we subscribe
to "Credit Union Management " (published by
CUES) and "Credit Union Magazine " (published by
CUNA and Affiliates) to stay abreast of general business
trends. We also attend all of the Tallahassee Credit
Union chapter meetings. Staff members have given
numerous presentations relative to accounting and
auditing issues affecting the financial institution industries.
We have an excellent relationship with federal
and
state examiners. We have helped our clients work
through regulatory sanctions. Regulators have recognized
our industry expertise. We routinely make our
work papers available for review by examiners.
The credit union industry ’s importance to us can also
be seen by our support
of the Florida Credit Union League
and CUPAC. Joe Sanders is one of seventeen individuals
who are "Ambassador Club" members. Joe was
the only CPA to achieve this status.
